2025 Grantees
In 2025, we proudly awarded a total of $60,000 to the following Mid-South organizations:
- Madonna Learning Center
- Isaiah 117 House
- Christopher A. Pugh II Center

Madonna Learning Center received a grant for $30,000. The grant will be used to purchase a 7-9 passenger minivan to transport their students and adults with disabilities. This addition to their resources will further support their mission of empowering children and adults with special needs to reach their full potential while offering support to their families.

Isaiah 117 House – The $6,000 grant will be used for resources and support for their kinship placement foster care program. This organization provides physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting placement in foster care.

Christopher A. Pugh II Center received a grant of $5,000 for their workforce development program for thirty at-risk young men. The Center offers a culinary arts program, a film production program and a HVAC apprenticeship program as well as tailored support services to promote purpose, growth, and positive change for these young men.

Neighborhood Christian Center was awarded a $5,000 grant for their Work Force Development and Entrepreneurial Training program. NCC’s Work Force Development and Social Enterprise Program is designed to address the employment and entrepreneurial needs of the families they serve. This program offers year-long internships to participants who have completed their Holey Cakes Training. These leaders will work under NCC
leadership, learning and developing workforce skills such as logistics, planning, customer communication, and human service work.

Samaritan Counseling Centers – The $5,000 grant will be used for their Client Assistance
Fund to help make mental healthcare accessible for more Memphis children. Since 1981, Samaritan Counseling Centers of the Mid-South has offered hope and healing by providing affordable, accessible, high-quality, professional counseling and educational resources, while respecting the personal and spiritual values of individuals.

Room in the Inn received a $4,500 grant for their 24/7 Family Inn shelter for homeless families in Memphis. This shelter provides housing-focused case management and support to help families transition from homelessness to permanent housing. Their hospitality includes a warm meal and a safe place to sleep for their families that have experienced homelessness.

Southern Reins– Awarded a $4,500 grant for specialized saddles, helmets and stirrup irons. Their new equipment will enhance their therapeutic services, improving participants’ physical, emotional, and social well-being in a safe, supportive environment.
